This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist in casting and moulding to play a key role on the BA Technical Arts for Theatre and Screen course at Wimbledon College of Arts, teaching students how to make prosthetics for film, theatre and the wider entertainment industry.
You’ll be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship on the course, and will work collaboratively within a course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.
You’ll also be responsible for undergraduate students’ pastoral support, progress and attendance, maintaining records and liaising with colleagues as appropriate.
Your profile
You’ll be fully conversant in a range of casting and moulding processes including full body life casting and proficient in the making casting and applying of prosthetics together with a working knowledge of 3D printing and scanning.
You’ll also be familiar with a range of traditional sculpting and fabrication practices including monster suit making.
Experience of teaching and assessment in a Higher Education environment or equivalent experience is essential.
