The University of Surrey is a global community of ideas and people, dedicated to life-changing education and research.
We are ambitious and have a bold vision of what we want to achieve - shaping ourselves into one of the best universities in the world, which we are achieving through the talents and endeavour of every employee.
Our culture empowers people to achieve this aim and to collectively, and individually, make a real difference.
The role
To build on the expertise within the school we are seeking to appoint a lecturer A or B (dependent on experience and/or qualifications) supporting the work of the Adult Nursing and CPD Teams, to cover maternity leave. The applicant must hold a professional registration as an adult nurse with the NMC.
About you
We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and seeking an opportunity to work closely with the next generations of nurses whilst supporting wider healthcare workforce development. You will have a professional registration as an Adult Nurse with the NMC. We welcome applications from individuals with a teaching qualification and those who do not yet hold one, but can demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and supporting students. It is desirable, though not essential, that you are a registered independent prescriber (V300). Knowledge of interprofessional education and experience working with diverse learner groups would be an advantage.
How to apply
Please apply on the University website with your CV and cover letter.
If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please contact Senior Lecturer, Hayley Ward (h.ward@surrey.ac.uk), or Lead for Postgraduate Taught and Post-Registration Programmes, Mark Stobbart (m.stobbart@surrey.ac.uk).
Interviews will be held on 11th Nov 2025.
In return we offer a generous pension, relocation assistance where appropriate, flexible working options including job share and blended home / campus working locations (dependent on work duties), access to world-class leisure facilities on campus, a range of travel schemes and supportive family friendly benefits including and excellent on-site nursery.
