Summary of the role
The unique resources held in Special Collections are an integral part of the university library service, which underpins teaching and research by providing extensive access to information resources. This role is crucial to support the ongoing work to build the profile of our unique collections both internally and externally; with the service leading on the Library's Civic Commitment, alongside embedding collections in research, teaching, and learning.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent customer service, a strong commitment to promoting collections, and to the application of technology in Heritage. The role will work with the other Archivists in post to lead in the development of our collections in line with our policies and wider University strategies.

Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification (available on the university's website, accessed by the 'Apply' button) for full details of this role.

We are committed to creating an inclusive culture where all members of our community are supported to thrive; where diverse voices are heard through our engagement with evidence-based charter frameworks for gender (Athena SWAN and Project Juno for Physics), race equality (Race Equality Charter Mark), LGBTQ+ inclusion (Stonewall Diversity Champion) and as a Disability Confident employer.

We are proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant and welcome applications from service people.
