About the role:
We are seeking a senior learning designer or experienced educator with relevant experience to work on the design, development, and delivery of a new MSci blended on-campus programme at Faculty of Medicine. This role will suit someone with a keen interest in medical and scientific education, as well as the design and development of bespoke interactive learning assets and online learning activities, such as interactive videos, hot spot images, advanced scientific explainers and visuals, and others.
What you would be doing:
As the postholder, you will work collaboratively within the Digital Education Office and alongside the leadership and academic staff at the Faculty of Medicine to identify, evaluate and prioritise digital learning needs and requirements from a digital pedagogy perspective, which will deliver high quality innovative online and blended experiences for students in the medical and scientific areas.

You will have a strong track record of designing and delivering high quality interactive and bespoke digital learning assets, coupled with the ability to break down and explain complex concepts in an approachable way, with the help of appropriate technological tools and applications. A positive, personable and problem-solving approach is essential, as is the ability to show initiative and be adaptable. Accessibility, inclusivity and diversity will be at the heart of your digital learning practice.

The Digital Education Office (DEO) at Imperial College London develops and supports digital learning solutions to deliver the Faculty of Medicine’s vision of excellence in education. It supports a suite of blended and online programmes across the Faculty, as well as open content (MOOC) and online short courses provision.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week). This role is for a fixed-term contract for 24 months.
