About us
The LMCB opened in 1993 as one of the first centres dedicated to molecular cell biology in the UK. The Division has a strong international reputation for research excellence, with staff and PhD students working together to understand the fundamental principles of cell biology relevant to human disease.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Stromal Immunology Lab led by Professor Sophie Acton. The Stromal immunology lab is funded by Cancer Research UK and the Wellcome Trust to investigate stromal/immune crosstalk mechanisms and functions in the formation and function of tertiary lymphoid structures in chronic inflammation and cancer.
About the role
We are looking to recruit a full time, grade 7 Research Fellow to work on our tumour microenvironment projects. Research questions are focussed around the formation and function of tertiary lymphoid structures and the crosstalk between immune cells and stromal cells to support immune function in inflamed tissues. Research projects are conducted as part of a team, working closely with other research fellows, research assistants and PhD students to deliver the project goals.
