We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic synthetic organic chemist with a strong background in the synthesis and characterisation of liquid crystals to join a multidisciplinary team under the leadership of Dr Rebecca Walker. This post is supported by Dr Rebecca Walker’s EPSRC New Investigator Award ‘Chirality and the Ferroelectric Nematic Phase’. These novel materials have the potential to have a transformative effect on both our fundamental understanding of ferroelectricity in fluid phases, and on technologies such as liquid crystal displays.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6, £38,249 - £39,355 per annum and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
