The University of Glasgow’s School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in Veterinary Public Health. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a team that contribute to the continuing refinement and delivery of Veterinary Public Health (VPH) teaching in the taught programmes of the School of Biodiversity, One Heath and Veterinary Medicine. You will contribute to the delivery of an excellent student experience for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including continuing professional development, you will undertake scholarship to enhance learning and teaching in the School and actively engage in relationships with external stakeholders so as to advance knowledge exchange, public understanding and outreach.
The School has an international reputation in teaching, clinical services and research and is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), the European Association of Establishments of Veterinary Education (EAEVE) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). You will carry out associated tasks as requested by the Head of Division and Head of School to maintain and further the School/College objectives and reputation.
This post is full time and open ended. The role will be appointed at Grade 7, 8 or 9, depending upon qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
For appointment at Grade 9: The successful candidate will provide academic leadership for Veterinary Public Health and Food Safety aspects of the BVMS and other degrees, including development of a sustainable research strategy and line-management of other academic staff within the Veterinary Public Health Team.
