The role
We are looking for a brilliant Lead Developer who is ready to join us and to grow as part of a well-established, dynamic team.
You’ll be a key member of our Enterprise Applications and Data team, developing, maintaining, configuring and deploying enterprise software, for example student information system (Ellucian Banner) SQL, Java, Kotlin and embracing cloud first full stack provisioning, relational databases, deployment and orchestration.
We will count on you to use your creativity to design innovative integrations to support university initiatives and to ensure there is a good conceptual fit with solutions such as containerised services and the Oracle based student information system.
As part of this you will be leading on researching, reviewing, and analysing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing Brookes development languages, platforms, processes and tools as well as overseeing efficient, cost effective, maintainable software developments.
About you

You will have substantial experience of developing, maintaining, configuring and deploying software to deliver enterprise IT services as part of a successful, agile team.
Software installation, administration and management are already part of your day to day work and you do this using your experience of a range of development tools and software.
You will have excellent communication skills as well as an ability to clearly express and document your thoughts for a range of audiences.
