The College of Administrative Sciences and Economics at Koç University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position in International Relations with a focus on International Political Economy (IPE) starting in September 2026. We seek a scholar whose research, publications, and teaching contribute to the field of IPE.  

We are especially interested in candidates whose work engages topics, such as global trade, finance, production, development, political economy of international organizations, global governance, global inequality, sustainability, or the political economy of climate change and technology.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in IPE at both undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise student research, and contribute to the intellectual life of the department and university. A Ph.D. in International Relations or Political Science, awarded within the past three years or expected by September 2026 is required. Interested applicants need to send a cover letter explaining how their research, publication, and teaching experience relates to IPE, a  current curriculum vitae, up to three sample publications/working papers, teaching portfolio (including sample syllabus and teaching evaluations with a key), and three letters of reference.  

Koç University is a private, non-profit Turkish institution of higher education located just north of Istanbul (https://case.ku.edu.tr/en/). Koç University is committed to the pursuit of excellence in both research and teaching. The Department of International Relations ranks as number one in Asia by citations per faculty member. Students are admitted to the department through a very competitive central examination. The medium of instruction is English. Assistant Professors teach three courses per academic year till being promoted to the rank of Associate Professor. Salary and benefits are competitive.
