About the team or project:
Manchester Met's Apprenticeships Unit is a sector-leading team delivering high-quality, industry-relevant degree apprenticeships across the University. Following our Outstanding Ofsted rating in 2022, we continue to build on our commitment to excellence, working with over 700 employers and supporting more than 3,000 apprentices.
As part of the Apprenticeships Quality team, you'll join a dynamic and collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and impactful learning experiences. Our work is driven by strong partnerships with academic colleagues, employers, and professional services teams, ensuring our provision remains responsive, rigorous, and inclusive.
About the role:
We're looking for a proactive and experienced quality professional to lead key aspects of our apprenticeship quality assurance and enhancement activity.
As Apprenticeships Quality Manager, you'll support institutional readiness for Ofsted inspection, lead the implementation of our Quality Improvement Plan, and promote engagement with the University's Quality Cycle. You'll work closely with Academic Programme Leaders, Programme Managers, and Skills Coaches to strengthen progress reviews, develop inclusive learning resources, and advance safeguarding and Prevent duty awareness.
About the candidate:
We're seeking a confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across diverse teams. You'll bring specialist knowledge of Ofsted and apprenticeship quality frameworks, experience in curriculum development, and a strong track record of managing educational projects and teams. You'll be passionate about safeguarding, equality, and continuous improvement, and committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive apprenticeship provision.
We would particularly welcome candidates with experience working within Higher Education, and from a strong educator background.
To apply:
Applications must be made via our recruitment system (available on the university's website, accessed by the 'Apply' button) and should include a full CV and a letter of application setting out your interest in the role and details of how your knowledge, skills and experience match the essential criteria being sought (no more than two pages of A4).
Closing Date - Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
Provisional Interview Date - Friday, 9 January 2026.
