Mary Immaculate College is an autonomous, university-level, Catholic College of Education and the Liberal Arts. Founded in 1898, and linked academically with the University of Limerick, MIC is the oldest higher education institution in Limerick. Significant expansion in recent decades has seen the College’s offerings expand across two modern campuses, one based in Limerick City and one in Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Mary Immaculate College wishes to appoint an Assistant Professor in Business on a Permanent, Full-Time basis.
Mary Immaculate College wishes to appoint an Assistant Professor in Business assigned to its Limerick Campus from August 2026 on a full-time, permanent basis.
Commitment to high-quality teaching and learning in a student-centred multi-disciplinary environment is essential. Evidence must be shown of a commitment to excellence in teaching, research and continued scholarly activity. The appointee will have specific duties in lecturing on Business modules on the Bachelor of Arts, under the direction of the Head of Department of Business and Accounting.
The Faculty of Arts provides a wide range of course modules in Business subjects for B.A. students who take Business Studies as a degree option. The syllabus includes topics in Management, Economics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Business Law, Accounting, Business Information Systems, and Organisational Behaviour.
