St Padarn’s is the thriving theological institution at the heart of the Church in Wales.

The Director of Academic Studies is responsible for leading our academic programmes, apprenticeship, BTh and MA in the changing contexts within HE and the Church.  

The director is also one of the newly reshaped, five-person Senior Leadership Team of St Padarn’s, sharing in the management, pastoral care, and spiritual and cultural leadership of the whole institution.

The person we are looking for will have:

  • The commitment, emotional intelligence, spiritual maturity and vision to share the leadership of a theological institution serving the needs of the Church.
  • A doctorate in Theology, Mission or Ministry.
  • Passion and insight into appropriate pedagogy for BTh and MA programmes within a theological college.
  • Understanding of the impact of disabilities and AI in the conduct of learning and assessments.
  • Experience of engagement with university regulations, partnerships with accrediting bodies, and quality assurance reviews.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a satisfactory DBS check.
