We are seeking to appoint a fixed term, 0.7 FTE Lecturer on a Teaching & Scholarship post in Sociology and Anthropology with expertise in visual sociology/anthropology or an adjacent specialism. The successful candidate combines a strong academic grounding in sociological and/or anthropological research with professional-level experience in photography and/or multi-media practices (sound, video, image). Whilst anchored in Sociology, this post will deliver teaching and dissertation supervision across the visual and multi-modal programmes in Sociology and Anthropology. The successful candidate will thrive in an interdisciplinary working environment and will have an understanding of the intersections between Sociology and Anthropology, especially concerning ethnographic methodologies and multi-modal practices.

The post will be based in the School of Global Change, home of Anthropology, Sociology, Politics and IR, History and Law at Goldsmiths. We anticipate that the successful candidate will teach on programmes across Anthropology and Sociology.
