Sheffield Hallam University is one of the UK’s largest and most progressive universities: a community of around 32,000 students, 4,000 staff and 330,000 alumni around the globe. We are a university of purpose: we transform lives. Our ambition is clear and bold – to be a world-leading applied university through the real-world impact we have on our students and society.
The College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences brings together disciplines spanning health, social care, sport, biosciences and chemistry. It plays a critical role in improving outcomes for individuals and communities, working in close partnership with the NHS and regional health and care systems, and addressing some of the most significant challenges facing society today.
We are now seeking to appoint an outstanding Executive Dean to lead this large and complex College into the next phase of its development. You will provide values-led strategic leadership across education, research, innovation and knowledge exchange, ensuring excellence in student experience and staff performance, financial sustainability, and delivery of the University Strategy 2030. As a key member of the University Executive Board, you will champion our civic mission and be a visible ambassador for Sheffield Hallam across the region, nationally and internationally.
You will bring extensive senior academic or professional leadership experience, with a strong track record of organisational improvement and performance delivery. You will be an influential and collaborative leader with excellent stakeholder engagement capabilities. You will have a strong commitment to people development, awareness of organisational values and alignment with the University’s ambition to be a leading applied university built on a culture of collaboration, inclusion and sustainability.
