We have an exciting opportunity in the Division of Population Health at the University of Sheffield for a part-time Research Intern to join the School of Medicine and Population Health. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with prior research experience to help us carry out a focused project: mapping the advice that alcohol treatment and recovery services across Great Britain give to clients on the use of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks. If you are passionate about public health and looking to use your quantitative skills to make an impact, we would love to hear from you.
As Research Intern, you will manage the data collection and analysis lifecycle for this quantitative survey. Your duties will include finalising the survey on Qualtrics, identifying and recruiting service providers, and analysing collected data using software such as SPSS, Stata, or R. You will also contribute to documenting the research, ensuring GDPR compliance, and assisting with writing a peer-reviewed scientific journal publication and presenting findings to policy stakeholders. You should have an undergraduate or master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant subject and experience of carrying out quantitative survey research relevant to public health. You will be supported by weekly supervision and integrated into the Sheffield Addictions Research Group (SARG).
