What we’re looking for
Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of professionals in sports performance? We’re looking for two inspiring educators to bring energy, expertise, and innovation to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in sport and exercise science.
In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching that connects theory with real-world practice. Your background in sports performance science and experience in multidisciplinary collaboration will help you support individuals and teams in applied settings.
You’ll champion experiential learning opportunities (including our Sandwich Year) and play a key role in developing and overseeing placements with athletes, sports organisations, and teams. Beyond teaching, you’ll contribute to curriculum development, introduce fresh ideas, and drive initiatives that boost student engagement, employability, and satisfaction.
To succeed in this role, you will hold (or be working towards) a postgraduate qualification in applied sport and exercise science or a related discipline and bring experience of teaching at undergraduate level or delivering professional training in performance science. You’ll have a deep understanding of the applied sport and exercise science environment and the ability to establish and supervise work-based learning opportunities that develop students’ professional practice and employability. Your track record will include leading initiatives to support athletes in multidisciplinary applied settings, and you’ll be committed to providing an outstanding student experience through innovative, engaging approaches.
This is a key moment to join a welcoming, ambitious, and research-informed university community that places students at the heart of everything we do. We value and invest in our staff, offering meaningful opportunities for professional development, scholarship support, and clear internal promotion routes.
