About the employer
Introduction
Glasgow College Hainan was founded on April 11, 2022. UESTC and UofG proudly expanded our horizons by establishing our presence in the Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, marking a significant milestone in China's educational landscape. This strategic location, at the forefront of China's educational openness, serves as a vital "window" to the world, showcasing our commitment to international collaboration and innovation. Our establishment in Hainan represents not only a geographical expansion but also a symbolic step forward in China's role as a global educational leader.
As a newly founded institution within a developing educational hub, Glasgow College Hainan is supported by unparalleled policies and benefits. We recognize both the opportunities and challenges of the new landscape, and are committed to fostering a culture of shared growth and pioneering spirit. The Pilot Zone currently consists of five Sino-foreign cooperative universities which offer a range of transnational academic programmes. This creates a vibrant, multicultural atmosphere conducive to cross-cultural exchange and academic innovation.
In this context, we are seeking faculty who are not only passionate about international education, but also motivated to help shape a new academic venture. Successful candidates will find a career path rich with professional growth in a supportive and collaborative setting.
Join Our English Language Teaching Team
Our English language (EL) provision is a credit-bearing component of the curriculum, integral to students’ academic success. We provide English for Academic Purposes (EAP) to over 420 undergraduates during their first two academic years of their degrees. The EAP teaching programmes are designed to help them acquire the language proficiency and academic literacy required to complete their degree programmes in English.
For teaching staff, we provide an integrated CPD programme designed and delivered by University of Glasgow teacher educators. We also offer opportunities in areas such as curriculum and syllabus development, materials writing, assessment work and teacher education.
We are now recruiting ELT/EAP teachers who are committed to language education and eager to grow with a pioneering institution. If you are resilient, adaptable, and excited to help build an international educational community in Hainan, we invite you to apply and join us in shaping the future of Glasgow College Hainan.
