Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst

We are recruiting for a Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst within Propositions Group at Cambridge University Press & Assessment to manage a range of impact evaluation activities, which provide evidence of the effectiveness of our products and programmes.

About the role�

We are seeking an experienced analyst or educational researcher with strong quantitative and data management skills to join the Impact Evaluation team at Cambridge English. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping how we evidence, measure, and report on the impact of our programmes and products, contributing to meaningful change in the field of education and English language learning.

The role will be reporting to the Head of Impact Evaluation. The successful applicant will be required to carry out the following activities:

  • Lead and support evaluation studies that inform product development, policy, and implementation of education reform.
  • Design data collection tools and manage quantitative, qualitative, and observational data.
  • Analyse and interpret data using appropriate statistical and analytical tools and methods.
  • Coordinate logistics and stakeholder engagement for evaluation activities.
  • Produce clear, evidence-based evaluation reports and contribute to blogs, presentations, and summaries.
  • Support the implementation of monitoring frameworks and impact indicators.
  • Maintain and improve data systems, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Develop clear data visualisations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to standardised reporting, documentation, and management of team outputs.

About you

  • You will have a Master's degree in a quantitative, social science, or education-related field. Exceptional candidates with a BA or BSc will be considered.
  • You will have strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • You will ideally have some familiarity with educational research or impact evaluation approaches.
  • You will have experience designing data collection tools and conducting both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • You will be confident using data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, NVivo, Power BI) and creating clear data visualisations or dashboards.
  • You will be highly organised, analytical, and attentive to detail, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • You will have excellent written communication skills and the ability to explain findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You will have experience�through work, internships, or academic roles�working with data: collecting, cleaning, analysing, visualising, and interpreting.
  • You will ideally have experience working with socio-demographic or education-related datasets.
