Middlesex University was 1st in London for Teaching Quality, and 1st in the UK for Facilities, in the WhatUni Choice Awards 2025, with campuses in North London, Dubai and Mauritius, and with state-of-the-art facilities for the five Faculty departments of Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Design Engineering and Mathematics, Psychology and the London Sport Institute.
We are proud of our students and their successes. Ten MDX students are currently competing in the WorldSkills UK Finals in fields including automation and cybersecurity, closing a year of student achievements which included an MDX student winning the Architectural Technology Student Project of the Year 2025, amongst other Faculty successes. Staff achievements include the recent positive report on suicide prevention initiatives following a community-based campaign in the London Borough of Barnet, based underpinned by the research of the MDX Centre for Abuse and trauma Studies. We are also very proud that Middlesex’s London Digital Twin Research Centre, which creates digital realisations of the physical world, is co-operating on research, data sharing, and capacity building in stroke and epilepsy care with the University of Oxford and two institutions in Vietnam.
We are seeking a Dean who is committed to the mission and values of the University, with strong leadership skills, who will motivate and develop teams and individuals, who cares deeply that science and technology education can be accessed by all who can benefit from it, and who is excited by the prospect that, working closely with industry partners, we can create graduate career opportunities for all our students.
