The School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences offers high quality teaching, research and CPD across a range of subject areas. Our course portfolio is broad and includes our recently GPhC reaccredited Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) as well as BSc courses in Biomedical Science, Biological Sciences, Forensic Science, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Science and MSc courses in Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology and Biomedical Science.
We are specifically looking for expertise and ability to contribute to areas of teaching which include the general scientific principles which underpin the biological or chemical aspects of drug discovery, design and development. Industrial or research experience in this area would be beneficial.
We are keen to recruit someone who can contribute to the development and delivery of innovative learning and teaching, informed by your research or professional expertise, across our courses.
We would welcome an individual with research that would complement the current activity within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. You will have a developing track record in research in a relevant field, including research outputs that could contribute to the next REF exercise, and some experience of attracting financial support for your research via external sources, including both national and international funding bodies.
For an informal discussion about the post please contact the Head of School, Professor Sabbir Ahmed (Sabbir.Ahmed@wlv.ac.uk) or Head of Department, Dr Mark Hewitt (M.Hewitt@wlv.ac.uk).
