Applications are invited for the full-time post of Funding Programmes Administrator, in the Postgraduate Education and Clinical Academic Training Section in the School of Clinical Medicine.
This is a very varied and high-profile role that is responsible for all aspects of the administrative support of the School's Doctoral Funding programmes. This includes the advertising and recruitment of students to the programs, as well as the maintenance of records, including financial, relating to the students and programs. The role requires liaising with a number of internal/external stakeholders regarding the operation of the programmes, including the provision of information regarding their recruitment and operation. The post holder works closely with the program leads in the support and development of the programmes, including, if required, any activity relating to bids for new funding.
The post holder may need to provide line management responsibility including recruitment, induction and probation, training and development of any support staff allocated to the area.
The post-holder will also provide support to the Secretary of a number of trust fund management boards, including management of the award applications, resulting expenses and invoices.
The role involves regular liaison with colleagues at different levels across the university so you will need the ability to develop good working relationships with key stakeholders, programme directors and colleagues. Excellent administration skills as well as the ability to plan, prioritise and organise your workload are essential. The role manages several research grants, so experience and knowledge of the budgets and financial reporting is essential as is attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
The post is based at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, but hybrid working is available.
