Introduction

Role Summary
The Academic Provost is the senior academic leader at the Mumbai Campus, shaping its vision, strategy, and delivery. Reporting to the Strategic Board and chairing the Academic Group, the Provost will ensure teaching and research excellence, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, faculty development, and student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead academic planning, programme delivery, and quality assurance aligned with University standards.
- Provide campus leadership, working with the Chief Business Officer to integrate academic and operational functions.
- Ensure compliance with UK and Indian regulations and University policies.
- Promote research, innovation, staff development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Represent the University in India, building relationships with regulators, industry, and academic partners.
Governance
Operate within a three-tier governance structure: Strategic Board, Management Committee, and Academic, Operations, and Finance Working Groups, maintaining close collaboration with Aberdeen senior leadership to safeguard academic integrity and quality assurance.
