This Senior Lectureship in Pharmacy Practice has been established through the University’s strategic investment in the field of Pharmacy, to support UWE Strategy 2030 and the university’s Research, Innovation, Skills and Enterprise (RISE) framework.
The Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice will be a member of the College of Health, Science and Society (CHSS) - based within the School of Applied Sciences they will work across the College. The School of Applied Sciences and School of Health and Social Wellbeing, are home to numerous UWE Research Centres including, the Centre for Research in Biosciences (CRIB), Centre for Health and Clinical Research (CHCR) and the Science Communication Unit (SCU).

About you
Candidates will be expected to have a PhD in a subject relevant to this post or have a relevant master’s qualification with significant professional practice. We are seeking someone who can contribute to the development of the curricula, associated pedagogy, with a focus on the practice of pharmacy and the interface with the external pharmacy profession. The post holder will provide leadership, teach and assess students on the MPharm programme and be involved in developing new modules; will contribute to the provision, development and delivery of work-based placements, with a focus on creating a diverse placement portfolio practice and preparing students to become competent pharmacy practitioners and help develop links with relevant stakeholders.
Candidates are expected to be a pharmacy professional with GPhC registration.
The successful candidate will be supported in this role by an experienced professor as a mentor. The school provides staff development funds to support personal and subject related training for academic staff.
