The Waldorf Learning Foundation (WLF), in partnership with Bath Spa University (BSU), is seeking an academically grounded, research-engaged and creatively minded Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to contribute to the delivery and development of the Postgraduate Diploma in Waldorf Education & Creative Pedagogies (PGDip WECP).

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a distinctive postgraduate programme that brings Waldorf principles into conversation with contemporary educational research, critical pedagogy and progressive, creative practice. The role will appeal to a scholar/practitioner who values student-centred learning, pedagogic innovation and the advancement of creative, holistic and regenerative approaches across the UK education landscape.

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking either an intermediate or experienced higher-education practitioner with a strong interest in creative and progressive pedagogies, who is motivated to contribute to a postgraduate pathway rooted in Waldorf Education and enriched by contemporary scholarship. You will bring:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in your specialist area
  • Strong, demonstrable HE teaching experience
  • Evidence of research and/or scholarship that enhances curriculum and practice
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, ICT and networking skills
  • A commitment to inclusive, student-centred education and pedagogic innovation
  • Enhanced maternity

Experience with Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio Emilia or related creative/progressive pedagogies is desirable, as is experience in curriculum development, senior leadership, fundraising and/or HE quality assurance.

The role

You will design and deliver teaching content for the programme’s two modules, contribute to curriculum development and engage in scholarly activity that informs and strengthens the student experience. You will also play an active role in programme administration, student support, recruitment and wider academic networks within the School of Education and WLF’s broader community of educators and partners.

Weekly online delivery currently takes place on Tuesday afternoons (16:30–19:30), with postgraduate team meetings on Wednesday mornings during term time, and two annual Landcraft Retreat weekends. Attendance at these key points in the academic cycle is required.

Why join us?

WLF is a small, values-led UK charity dedicated to improving children’s access to creative learning so that they may flourish in themselves and in their contribution to the world. You will become part of a collaborative team that values reflection, creativity, rigour, collegiality and professional growth.
