Essex Sport is home to a thriving high-performance environment, supporting some of the country’s top university athletes to excel in both sport and study. As a long-standing TASS delivery site, we provide integrated performance services to athletes across Basketball, Volleyball and a range of individual sports.
We are looking for a dedicated TASS Lifestyle Advisor to deliver high-quality performance lifestyle support to student-athletes on the Sport England TASS programme. You will help athletes balance their dual careers, manage key transitions, and maintain wellbeing during demanding academic and sporting commitments. You will also support athlete inductions, deliver educational workshops, and maintain accurate, confidential records.
The ideal candidate will hold the Level 3 Talented Athlete Lifestyle Support (TALS) qualification, have experience working with young people or high-performance athletes, and be an excellent communicator who can empower individuals to reach their potential.
At the University of Essex, internationalism and diversity is central to who we are and what we do. We are committed to being a cosmopolitan, internationally oriented university that is welcoming to staff and students from all countries, faiths and backgrounds, where you can find the world in one place.
To support this commitment we have our Global Forum, a staff-led network that promotes and celebrates the rich cultural diversity among Essex staff, and our Colchester campus based Faith Centre, which hosts regular services, meetings and events organised by our chaplains and faith representatives.
