The Role

We are seeking to recruit a RICS-qualified (or equivalent) Real Estate professional with substantial, up-to-date industry experience and a strong appreciation of contemporary professional standards and practice. Whether your background is in commercial or residential real estate, consultancy, development, investment, or the public sector, we welcome practitioners who can bring their expertise, insight, and professional credibility into an academic setting. An academic background or interest in academia is desirable but not essential; what matters most is your ability to translate industry experience into an engaging learning environment.

You should be able to teach confidently in at least two of the following core real estate disciplines:

  • Real Estate & Property Law and Practice
  • Valuation & Real Estate Investment Management
  • Commercial Real Estate
  • Planning and Development

We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who can enrich their teaching with real-world casework, professional judgement, and RICS-aligned methodologies, helping our students to develop the knowledge, behaviours, and ethical standards expected within the profession.

This role requires someone who is flexible, proactive, and able to manage their own workload effectively while engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, academic colleagues, industry partners, and external clients. Your ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor the next generation of property professionals will be central to your success.

You do not need extensive teaching experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior practitioner who is passionate about professional standards and looking to transition into academia—sharing their expertise, influencing curriculum developments, and shaping the future of the real estate profession.
