About the Project
A fully funded PhD scholarship is available at UCL Electronic & Electrical Engineering (4 years, home tuition fees covered, stipend provided).
Exceptional international candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The scholarship is funded by G-Research.
Research focus
The PhD topic must focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in relation to the research areas of one of the following UCL EEE academics:
Applicants are encouraged to review these supervisors’ profiles and research outputs, and may contact them directly for informal discussion of potential project ideas. The secondary supervisor will be allocated by UCL as part of the formal admission process.

The deadline for this initial step is 5th January 2025.
Early submission is strongly recommended to allow time for discussion and feedback.
Selected applicants will be interviewed (by the potential primary supervisor and another faculty member).
Applications will be ranked by a departmental committee, and the top candidate will be offered the scholarship and invited to submit an institutional PhD application by 06th February 2026. The institutional application will require references to be submitted and check you meet minimum entry requirements to be admitted to the doctoral study programme.
