The Research Department of Behavioural Science and Health is dedicated to research on how human behaviour impacts health and health outcomes. Our research and teaching reflect our interdisciplinary approach to health and wellbeing, focusing on a broad range of public health issues, such as alcohol and tobacco use, heart disease, cancer, and obesity. The position will be within Professor Daisy Fancourt’s Social Biobehavioural Research Group, which focuses on the impact of social behaviours and connections on health. This includes social deficits (e.g., loneliness, isolation, and COVID-19 lockdowns) and social assets (e.g., social connections, cultural and community engagement, nature engagement and social prescribing).
About the role
This position is part of a £3.5 million Wellcome Trust Discovery Award (GRACE-Epi), which explores the relationship between arts and cultural engagement and healthy ageing using epidemiological methods on a global scale. The post-holder will support this work through managing, cleaning, and harmonising datasets, and undertaking longitudinal and causal data analyses.

About you
You should hold a PhD in statistics, medical statistics, epidemiology, quantitative social science or other relevant discipline, and be a highly motivated individual with experience in analysing cohort data using advanced longitudinal and causal statistical methods. You should also have excellent oral and written communication, and excellent ability to work to deadline.
