About the role
The Deputy Head of Admissions is a senior role responsible for shaping and delivering a high-performing, compliant and applicant-focused admissions service. Working closely with the Head of Student Recruitment, Outreach and Admissions, you will lead admissions activity across both campuses, providing visible leadership at Bournemouth, line-managing the London Admissions Manager, and ensuring consistent, high-quality processes that support the university’s growth.
You will have autonomy to manage complex admissions decisions, oversee compliance and risk, contribute to institutional planning through evidence-based insights, and represent Admissions in senior management forums.
The role is varied and influential, with flexibility required during peak periods and occasional travel. This role is based at our Bournemouth campus, but hybrid working will be considered for the right candidate.
About you
You will be an experienced and confident admissions professional with strong strategic insight, excellent judgement and a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, including OfS, CMA and UKVI. A supportive and collaborative leader, you can guide and develop teams across multiple sites while maintaining a hands-on, approachable style.
You will be comfortable making complex decisions, managing risk, and providing expert advice to colleagues at all levels. Flexible, proactive and forward-looking, you bring the resilience, communication skills and analytical mindset needed to drive continuous improvement and deliver an outstanding applicant experience.
