The Role
We are seeking an Hourly Paid Tutor with expertise in Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronic, Electromechanical, Robotics, or related fields. Practical experience with applied systems and industry-standard tools is essential.
You will support teaching in areas such as electrical systems, mechatronic control, embedded systems, renewable technologies, and relevant programming/software. The role involves delivering high-quality teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and updating learning materials on our virtual platform.
The successful candidate will join our established academic team, contributing to undergraduate programmes at CU London. You’ll engage students through innovative teaching, ensure a quality learning experience, and maintain professional development aligned with industry standards.
Qualifications Required
Applicants will hold a Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honours Degree and appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to undertake one is essential. Coventry University offers full support, including the opportunity to complete a PGCE.

Experience teaching at Further or Higher Education level, with strong subject expertise and ability to deliver across a broad programme. Passion for your subject and commitment to student success are essential.
You’ll understand diverse learner needs, communicate effectively, and use student-centred approaches. Experience creating online learning materials and supporting active learning is required.
