The School of Psychology at the University of Sheffield delivers postgraduate and undergraduate programmes across a range of academic and clinical/applied areas of psychology. Our teaching is research led, equipping graduates with an advanced understanding and the key skills needed in their chosen careers. The Clinical and Applied Psychology Unit operates within the School of Psychology and delivers a range of applied postgraduate courses, including the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy).
We are seeking to recruit a Health and Care Professions Council (HPCP) registered clinical psychologist to this University Teacher post. This post is open to full-time and part-time applicants, with the primary focus being teaching on, and helping to run, the DClinPsy programme. The successful applicant will contribute to the high-quality teaching and training that is provided to Clinical Psychology trainees. There may also be opportunities to contribute to other postgraduate and undergraduate teaching that takes place across programmes within the School. We are particularly keen to recruit colleagues who are accredited as either a family/systematic therapist (via AFT) or as a CBT therapist (via BABCP), as the DClinPsy programme is developing formal therapy training pathways for our DClinPsy trainees.
The School of Psychology at The University of Sheffield is among the largest in the UK and has a vibrant research and study environment. We are recognised as being one of the best places in the world to study psychology (Times Higher Education World Subject Rankings 2021).
