About the Role

The Department of Computer Science at Oxford University is looking for a talented Internal Communications and Events officer to inspire and nurture engagement with internal and external audiences, supporting and showcasing the department’s world-leading teaching and research. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your creative, planning and analytical skills across a range of communications activities. You’ll make a real difference in a department that’s home to some of the University’s most exciting research and innovation, from AI to cybersecurity, quantum and human centred computing. 

We’re looking for an accomplished multi-channel communicator with excellent writing, digital and events skills, confident working with stakeholders at all levels and motivated by creating engaging communications that connect people with our department.

Reflecting University guidance on internal mobility, internal candidates will be considered a priority, however external candidates are welcomed and valued.

About You

Working as part of a friendly, motivated team you’ll play a key role in delivering the department’s communications strategy, supporting a culture of inclusion and collaboration, and championing the department’s global reputation for excellence.

You’ll plan, write and edit content for internal newsletters, intranet, and promotional materials; plan engagement activities; and work with colleagues at all levels to ensure our messages are strategic, consistent and engaging.
