We are seeking to appoint a dynamic researcher with experience in systematic reviews for our Counter Marketing Project. This study will synthesise the evidence base regarding the effectiveness of counter marketing.
The post-holder must have a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree, in a relevant topic. Relevant experience in relevant field(s) such as public health along with a strong track record in producing rigorous evidence syntheses. Experience in methods of evidence synthesis with a focus on complex public health topics is essential. They should contribute to written outputs, preferably peer-reviewed, consistent with disciplinary expectations for quality and volume. The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a research team, with a proven capacity to meet research deadlines. Desirable skills include experience conducting research, ideally systematic reviews, on the Commercial Determinants of Health and/or heath inequalities/social determinants of health, as well as an understanding of commercial influences and biases and how these affect research and research methods.
