We have an exciting opportunity to join the Ingenuity Team as a Senior Operations Officer. You’ll have the chance to get involved in a portfolio of entrepreneurship programmes including: Ingenuity Impact, the Ingenuity Lab, Your Entrepreneurs Scheme (YES) and the Witty Entrepreneurial Scholarship Programme.
The team sits in the Haydn Green Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (HGI) and we are part of Nottingham University Business School. HGI is one of the world’s leading centres for innovation and entrepreneurship extracurricular education; developing skilled and productive innovators and entrepreneurs of the future. HGI is also the home of the Ingenuity Lab - one of the UK’s most dynamic graduate incubators.
In this role you’ll be assisting in the planning, delivery and evaluation of world-class enterprise skills and training activity. You’ll coordinate projects and events that underpin our commitment to supporting students, alumni, staff and community members to start or develop impactful start-ups. The role offers the chance to leverage and grow a wide range of skills and strengths.
You’ll have experience of coordinating programmes or events and be able to effectively engage and communicate responsively with a wide range of stakeholders including students, graduates, businesses and other partner organisations. You’ll have HNC/HND level qualifications or relevant work experience in an operational role. You’ll need to be able to flexibly multi-task and organise your time and workload effectively to meet different priorities and deadlines. You’ll need to be open to innovating; and pro-actively help to streamline and improve our delivery and team working.
At the University of Nottingham, we aim to give you the support you need to nurture your skills and reach your professional and personal career goals. We are committed to providing competitive employment packages while supporting your well-being. As a university employee, you’ll have access to a range of benefits and rewards, including leading fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a generous holiday allowance and a highly attractive pension scheme.
This is a fixed-term contract until 31st July 2026 with the potential to extend; subject to funding. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours).
We adopt the university’s agile working practices; and place of work is activity led; balancing time between our offices in the Ingenuity Centre with working remotely (where feasible). Flexible working arrangements may be considered. Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
