About the Role
We are seeking talented statisticians to contribute to grant proposals, design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials, publication of results and methodological research. These postholders/s will help us developing a new programme of trials research and methodology within our centre, as well as contributing to relevant teaching and supervision activities. These appointments provide an excellent opportunity for motivated statisticians to further develop their academic career through clinical trials research aimed at improving and saving lives.
About You
The Statistician post requires a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience including applied statistical analysis and programming, knowledge of clinical trials. The Senior Statistician will have a postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience including analysing clinical trials. Both posts require experience of writing analysis plans and communicating with non-specialists.
About the Institute
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine.
The post-holder will work in Barts Clinical Trials Unit at the Centre for Evaluation and Methods, a thriving centre that incorporates collaborative units who work to deliver outstanding research based on their combined and complementary strengths.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus, London. It is full time (35 hours/week), fixed term appointment for 18 months, with an expected start date of early 2026. The starting salary will be Grade 5/6 (depending on skills and experience), in the range of £44,288 - £60,901 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance. Staff are currently hybrid working.
