The University of Roehampton is seeking an exceptional academic leader to join the Faculty of Business and Law as Deputy Dean and Head of Department of Finance & Digital Economy at a key moment in our development.

This senior role combines Faculty-level leadership with direct responsibility for one of three academic units that form part of the Faculty of Business & Law. The Department of Finance & Digital Economy is newly established, with around 40 academic staff and approximately 1,200 students across undergraduate and postgraduate provision. Its portfolio spans accounting, finance and banking, with planned new courses in business analytics and a refreshed economics offer.
As Deputy Dean & Head of Department, you will provide strategic, academic and operational leadership, with accountability for academic quality, student experience, staff performance and financial sustainability. You will shape a distinctive, future-facing portfolio aligned with employer needs, professional standards and the University’s Strategy 2030, while contributing actively to Faculty-wide strategy and change initiatives.
We are looking for a leader with a strong track record of academic leadership, a sound understanding of the higher education landscape, and the ability to think strategically and act entrepreneurially. You will be motivated by partnership working with business and industry, and by making a tangible difference to students, communities and employers.
