UA92 was created to be deliberately different. Founded by the Class of ’92 in partnership with Lancaster University, we set out to challenge convention and make higher education accessible to all. In just six years, we’ve grown from a bold idea into a thriving institution with a distinctive model, combining academic excellence, character development, and industry-shaped learning. Our graduates leave not only with degrees but with resilience, confidence, and the skills employers demand.
Now, UA92 stands at a pivotal moment. We have strong foundations, a growing reputation, and partnerships with global brands like Microsoft, KPMG, and Manchester United. Our ambition is clear: expand our reach, deepen our impact, and become one of the most innovative institutions in the UK.
As Chief Executive Officer & Principal, you will lead UA92 through its next phase of growth. This is a role for a visionary who thrives at the intersection of education and enterprise, someone who can balance ambition with academic rigour, inspire a talented and ambitious team, and manage a diverse stakeholder community. You will bring academic credibility to uphold standards, commercial acumen to drive the continued growth of the organisation, and the authenticity to connect with students, staff, and partners alike.
You will lead a dynamic senior team and ensure that UA92 remains agile and growth-oriented while staying true to its mission of social mobility and employability. This is more than a leadership role, it’s an opportunity to shape the future of higher education and create life-changing opportunities for thousands of students.
We are seeking a leader with academic credibility and a developed understanding of higher education governance and quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring substantial senior management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead complex organisations through growth and change. They will have a proven track record of building civic and commercial partnerships, leveraging relationships to deliver impact and innovation. Above all, they will combine strategic vision with authenticity and a commitment to UA92’s mission of widening participation and transforming lives.
If you bring entrepreneurial drive and a passion for transformative education, we want to hear from you.
The closing date for applications is 5pm Friday 13th February 2026.
