About Us

Situated in the historic “city of dreaming spires,” the University of Oxford has been ranked the world’s leading university for nine consecutive years. Blending centuries of tradition with world-changing innovation, Oxford offers an inspiring environment where excellence thrives. You will contribute to research and initiatives that address global challenges while joining a diverse and inclusive community that supports wellbeing, development, and ambition.

The Graduate Admissions and Recruitment (GAR) Office sits within the University’s Academic Administration Division. Nearly two thirds are international students from around 140 countries, reflecting Oxford’s global reach. GAR plays a central role in developing, coordinating, and evaluating graduate access and widening participation initiatives for both UK and international students.
