Sitting within the University’s Research and External Engagement department, the Centre for Apprenticeships supports the delivery and quality of apprenticeship programmes, ensuring compliance with external regulations, and providing employers, apprentices and stakeholders with excellent service.
Your role will be varied, with a focus on administrative processes and customer service. You will develop new skills and gain a range of experience in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Your duties will include verification and adjustment of student records and agreements in the apprenticeship management system (Aptem); support to colleagues and customers during financial and reporting processes; managing email enquiries; and working with Apprenticeship managers and officers to undertake audit-related activity.
About you
Good communication and teamwork skills are vital for this role. You will also demonstrate familiarity with a range of administrative and record-keeping tasks, and a clear commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service. You will also need some understanding of English apprenticeships and their regulations, including Department for Education funding compliance and Ofsted quality assurance, and be prepared to develop your knowledge in these areas.
The university particularly welcomes applicants with audit experience and/or up-to-date knowledge of Apprenticeship or other learner management systems.
