Photonic Integrated Circuit based Systems (PICSys) group at DTU Electro is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure-track researcher position within the field of integrated optical phased array.
Our group excels in developing innovative photonic integrated circuit (PIC)-based solutions for a wide range of applications, including Light detection and ranging (LiDAR), biosensing and optical wireless communication, pushing the boundaries of various fields like autonomous driving, healthcare, and high-speed data transmission. Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be to strengthen the department’s competences within integrated optical phased array (OPA) for solid-state optical beam steering and application of OPA for LiDAR and biosensing and free-space optical communications. You will become part of a team at DTU with expertise in design, simulation, nanofabrication, characterization, and application of PIC. You will work with both academic and industrial partners in Denmark as well as abroad.
Your primary tasks will be to:
The successful candidate should have demonstrated the ability to perform high-quality scientific research independently. You should have a good track record of publishing research results in reputed scientific journals and participating in international conferences. You should have demonstrated success in securing competitive research funding. You are expected to build close collaboration with both colleagues from DTU and other research institutes. You will also participate in various teaching activities including special courses and project supervision in bachelor, MSc- and PhD levels, documented teaching experience will be a bonus.
The assessment of the qualifications of individual candidates will be based on following criteria:
DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.
As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).
