We are looking for an organised and student-focused Academic and Student Support Officer to join the Academic Office at St Antony’s College. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) with a salary of £30,378–£35,608 per year, plus an Oxford weighting allowance of £1,730.

About the role

Reporting to the Academic Services Manager, you will play a key role in supporting students throughout their time at the College and ensuring the smooth delivery of academic and examination-related administration.

Based on site, you will work as part of a small, friendly team and act as a key point of contact for students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first-line support for taught-course students on academic progression and status
  • Managing on-course processes such as progression, suspensions, withdrawals and returns to study
  • Maintaining accurate student records and preparing standard documentation
  • Coordinating examination processes and reasonable adjustments
  • Supporting examinations held in College
  • Managing graduation administration and supporting graduation ceremonies
  • Organising termly student events and preparing the weekly student newsletter

Some evening or weekend work will be required at key points in the academic year, including graduation.

About you

You will have proven administrative experience and a strong commitment to excellent customer service. You will be organised, accurate and confident using IT systems, with the ability to manage competing priorities calmly. You’ll also bring good judgement, discretion and a collaborative approach to working in a small team.
