St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a College Assistant Professor in Economics. This is an early career development post and is offered for a fixed term period of five years.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide high-quality supervisions in at least three undergraduate economics courses at the University of Cambridge; undertake scholarly research within their specialist field and build a high quality publication record; and undertake other academic activities, all with a view to obtaining an academic appointment in Cambridge or elsewhere.
The salary offered will be in the range of £47,389 - £53,301 per annum (placement on the scale will be dependent on experience). The actual salary paid will be adjusted to reflect the actual number of supervisions delivered. The salary is pensionable under the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS). Additional remuneration will, if applicable, be paid for acting as Director of Studies or Tutor role and for examining and interviewing of candidates for admissions.
The successful candidate will also be provided with the usual benefits of a Fellowship in the College.
