Norland College – Learning, Teaching and Research

Hours: Full time - fixed term for two years

Location: Remote working with occasional office working. Office location: 39-41 Upper Oldfield Park, Bath, BA2 3LB

We are looking to appoint a fixed term Learning Technologist to join our busy and thriving Learning, Teaching and Research department to enhance the quality of learning, teaching and research at Norland through the effective integration of technologies and pedagogies for synchronous and asynchronous digital, blended and online learning.

You will work collaboratively with academic and professional staff to design, implement and evaluate technology-enhanced learning experiences, promote digital innovation, and ensure an excellent experience for students, Newly Qualified Nannies, Norlanders and staff.

The successful candidate will have experience of supporting academic staff and/or students in the use of learning technologies or virtual learning environments (e.g. Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard), experience of designing, developing and evaluating digital or blended learning resources and an understanding of pedagogical approaches underpinning digital and blended learning.

You must hold a degree (or equivalent qualification) in Education, Educational Technology, Digital Learning, IT, or a related discipline and be willing to engage in further training relevant to the role.

You will need to be a self-starter, with the ability to get on well with people, be highly organised in order to meet deadlines and work to a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. A flexible approach to work and a friendly, approachable nature are key to being successful in this role.
