This post is full time (35 hours per week) and fixed term for up 12 months in the first instance.
We are seeking a Research Assistant/Associate in time-domain fNIRS and brain decoding.
In this role, the successful candidate will contribute to make a leading contribution to the R&D of time-domain fNIRS approaches to the functional measurement of brain activity, including leading activity with healthy volunteers for the acquisition of brain activity, carrying out large dataset acquisition sessions, and then performing AI analysis of the data. The project will be carried out with Professor Daniele Faccio at the Advanced Research Centre, University of Glasgow, a multidisciplinary research building with labs specialised in photonics, quantum technologies, bioengineering, neuroscience.
The project will bridge the disciplines of neuroscience, photonic sensing and AI/data analysis – the ideal candidate will have experience in all of these domains.
A strong inclination towards entrepreneurial activity, including interest in potential company spinout opportunities is also desired and part of the project deliverables.
