We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our welcoming and collaborative Finance & Legal Services Directorate. Based at our Headington Campus, with the option for agile working, you will report to the Head of Management Accounts and play a valuable role in supporting the financial health of our Faculties and Directorates.
In this role, you will help prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis, ensuring colleagues have clear, timely and reliable information to support decision‑making. You’ll work closely with Budget Holders and senior leaders across the University, becoming a trusted source of insight and guidance.
You will also help colleagues understand and use our financial systems, promote good practice, and support the effective application of University Financial Regulations. Your work will contribute directly to strong financial planning, informed choices and the smooth running of key financial processes across the academic year.
You will join a friendly, professional and supportive team within the Finance & Legal Services Directorate — a central service that plays a vital role in enabling the University to deliver its strategic aims.
The Management Accounts Team partners closely with budget holders, senior leaders and departments across the University. Together, we provide meaningful analysis, financial insight and operational support to help ensure resources are used effectively and sustainably.
We pride ourselves on being collaborative, solution‑focused and committed to continual improvement. You’ll find a culture that values learning, encourages new ideas and supports your growth as part of a diverse and motivated community.
