Job Purpose:
The postholder will be a full-time integral part of a multi-disciplinary, cross-faculty PEACE-Air project team at Ulster University including Co-investigators from Built Environment, Geography and Environmental Sciences, Law, Nursing, and Medicine. They will provide timely support as well as independent administrative and field-based contributions to cross-border activity and outcomes that aim to tackle air pollution through community-embedded scientific, socio-economic and health-focused research, cross-community inclusion, spatial and demographic analysis, and legacy N-S capacity building and knowledge exchange to influence policy and practice. This post will lead and support interdisciplinary, community-engaged research on air pollution, socio-economic disadvantage, and health across the island of Ireland. PEACE-Air (Partnership for Evidence and Action on Clean Air) is a cross-border project supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The project, led by ERNACT (European Regions Network for the Application of Communications Technology) includes Ulster University as one a 10 full time partners with 7 additional associate partners from academic, government, and voluntary sectors.
