About the Role

We are seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to contribute to our Computer Science undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as CPD courses. We welcome applicants with expertise in our priority areas, including Robotics & Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, and related fields.

You will contribute to the department’s research profile, engaging with one of our Research Units and meeting requirements for the next Research Excellence Framework (REF).

You will join a multi award-winning institution, named Modern University of the Year in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022 and shortlisted for UK University of the Year. Our Computer Science Department offers state-of-the-art facilities and opportunities for collaboration, development, and career progression.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable academic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience. You will have an established or emerging research profile in a Computer Science field, ideally aligned with our priority areas and complementary to existing research.

Strong teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level is essential, and industrial experience in related areas is an advantage. UK Higher Education teaching experience is highly desirable. You will enrich students’ learning through subject expertise, professional qualifications, and practical experience, joining a forward-thinking team that innovates curriculum development in Computer Science.
