Engineering research is organised under four pillars: Additive Layer Manufacturing, Composite Engineering, Energy and Green Technologies, and Process Engineering, with a focus on cross-pillar collaboration.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic academic to support the development of Aerospace Engineering, with expertise in:
The role involves contributing to teaching and research across our undergraduate and postgraduate Engineering courses. You must hold a PhD in Engineering or a closely related discipline. Membership of a relevant professional body is advantageous. Strong experience across Aerospace Engineering is essential.
You will work with colleagues and students to pursue individual and collaborative research, contributing to established research groups and wider Faculty activity. You should demonstrate a track record of publishing high-quality scientific or technical outputs, and the potential to attract research funding or external income. The post includes delivering a broad range of aerospace engineering subject areas, so comprehensive knowledge of the discipline is required. Appointments will be made at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level depending on experience.
