The ICMA Centre at the Henley Business School is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Finance who can demonstrate experience in teaching in the higher education sector related to Finance modules. The holder of this post will be involved with teaching in some of the broad areas of Finance, with associated responsibilities in administration of modules and students.

The Department of Finance and Accounting comprises two areas: Finance (the ICMA Centre) and Accountancy. The post-holder is expected to provide contributions in Finance in Whiteknights.

We are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Finance who can show great experience in teaching a variety of modules in Finance. The holder of these posts will be involved with teaching in some of the broad areas of Finance, with associated responsibilities in administration of modules and students.

The Department of Finance and Accounting comprises two areas: Finance (the ICMA Centre) and Accountancy. You will contribute to teaching, scholarship and administration, commensurate with the Associate Professor role.

The appointee is expected to:

  • Teach on some modules in the broad area of Finance in undergraduate and pre-experience master’s programmes as agreed by the Head of Department of Finance and Accounting; ability to teach some of the following modules Introductory Econometrics, Fixed Income Markets, Alternative Investments, Derivatives, Investments and Quantitative Methods in Finance would be a great advantage.
  • Take on administrative duties and academic citizenship activities as well as academic leadership roles as appropriate.

  • A PhD in Finance
  • Experience with teaching at university level in English in the UK system
