Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CBT Expert Trainer to oversee the national roll-out of the Internet-Delivered Cognitive Therapy for PTSD (iCT-PTSD) programme. This programme faithfully implements the specialized cognitive therapy developed by Anke Ehlers and the Oxford Anxiety Disorders Team.

The ideal candidate will be a Clinical Psychologist or CBT Therapist trained in Trauma-focused Cognitive Therapy (Ehlers & Clark model), with experience in clinical supervision and a strong understanding of NHS Talking Therapies (NHS TT). You will train, supervise, and support clinicians in NHS TT services, ensuring high-quality delivery of digital PTSD therapy nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead therapist training and implementation of iCT-PTSD within NHS TT services.
  • Provide ongoing training and skills groups to establish a sustainable train-the-trainer model.
  • Offer expert clinical support and respond to therapist queries.
  • Contribute to programme meetings and collaborate with research teams to monitor effectiveness.
  • Establish best practices and frameworks for standardized delivery.
  • Act as a clinical ambassador, engaging NHS stakeholders to promote adoption.

Selection Criteria

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and/or BABCP registration as a CBT Therapist.
  • Trained in trauma-focused CT for PTSD (Ehlers & Clark).
  • Ideally supervision training completed.
  • Proven track record delivering CBT for PTSD and other anxiety disorders.
  • Experience with risk assessments and remote CBT delivery.
  • Desirable: supervision and training experience.
